I recently purchased a new video card (yea!). My other card died after 4.5 years faithful service, so I decided to get the most for my money. However I may have gotten more than I bargained for. The card I got is the CardExpert GeForce2 MX 400 64MB SDRAM AGP, With TV-Out. I read the specs and everything (I thought) worked out with my current computer. I am running win98 and have an AGP slot (1x I think). This is an older motherboard, so my question is this; will the new card that supports 4x AGP work on an AGP slot that is 1x? If not, can I make the slot 2x in the BIOS (without blowing the board)?
