Gtx 620 locking up on hp p6754y

I have a HP P6754y and I just installed a graphics card Navidia GTX 620 which seems to continually lock up. I am wondering what could be causing the lock up? I am also looking to upgrade the motherboard any suggestions what would fit, with pc3 10600 133mhz memory?
