i have a socket am2 cpu(AMD Athlon x2 64-bit 3800+) with a new am3+ motherboard that supports AM2 cpu(ASrock N68c fx) and system works only with ddr2 ram(Motherboard has ddr3 sockets too but cpu cant work with ddr3).
I now want to change my GPU it was an ATI x1300/x1550 or something.
I want to ask since the CPU works only with ddr2 ram i must buy a GPU with ddr2 ram?
You do NOT want a 4350. They are bottom of the line and very outdated. Heck, I have an Nvidia GT 430 and even I rejected a Radeon HD 4850 when a friend offered it to me for $20. If you want a new Radeon card, look at the current generation like the 7000 series. The 4000 series is about 5 years old by now.
Thanks a lot. I ll go for the 6670 then. I ll first ask the guy in the store to connect it to my system so im 100% sure it works with my ancient CPU. Dont know why but im stucked to the fact that i tried to open the system with ddr3 rams and it didnt work cause of cpu.
Anyway thanks a lot for helping.
