Has anyone had success listening to Dolby Digital DVD's using this player along with an Audigy sound card, ATI's DVD player 5.0, and Inspire 5.1 speakers? My test and diagnostic functions suggest that sound cards and speakers are ok, but when I play DVD's that are dolby digital encoded, i never hear DD sound??

That's a bummer. My SBLive won't do DD5.1, as when I attempt to play that channel, it sounds like total crap. Isn't that one of the things they were supposed to fix in the Audigy? Anyway, back to the point. Have you tried PowerDVD or WinDVD? Do you have sound in all other applications? Is your DVD software setup correctly, using the proper setting for audio output?


If I don't get my 90THz AMD Quadraplex system soon, I'm afraid I may just combust right here.
