GTX 680(that is completely ignoring price), But why are you comparing the GTX 680 to a 7950 and not a 7970?

I thought a 7950 OCed would be just as good as the 7970... guess not. Which is better 7970 or GTX 680?

What is extreme gaming and resolution to you isnt so with someone else. I game at 2560 x 1600 all ultra settings in most games, and I say 680 all day long over that 7950.

I also use a GTX 680 but i play at 6040x1200 res, and have no issues... Love my card. If iwas to buy a card now i would probably get the GTX 680 again. You will get a lot of people pushing you to get the 7970 also. If price isn't an issue and you don't run at high resolution with high AA I would say get the 680. If you play at high resolution and high AA a 7970 will give you better FPS. But from recent articles it seems that nvidia cards(due to drivers) are smoother at lower fps. So say a gtx 680 could get away with 30-40 fps as playable where the 7970 might need 40-50 fps (Those are totally made up numbers to get you an example).
