I've been testing my 2 old HD6850s in CF on my friends PC and after installing the second card Windows wouldn't boot further than the welcome screen, it'd just restart.

To fix that I went into safe mode, opened up the registry editor and went to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\ControlSet001\\Control \\Cl ass\\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}] and then searched for EnableULPS and changed the value of every instance of EnableULPS to 0.

It disables ULPS which is known for causing all kinds of problems on duall-GPU systems.

Try that :)
