I'm looking for an inexpensive internal PCI sound card that has only a
single toslink output and nothing else. Surround capabilities would
be nice but aren't necessary. An analog input would be fine but I
want to keep it simple and inexpensive - none of that SoundBlaster
"our cards have outputs AND inputs in every conceivable format" stuff.
Any suggestions?
It doesn't have "nothing else" but the Turtle Beach Riviera has Toslink
optical output, as well as analog ins/outs.

Thanks. I'll look into. When I posted this question, I had a certain
sound card in mind that I had once seen online but couldn't find the
web page again. I just found it again and saw that the card was a
Zoltrix Nightingale.
http://www.zoltrix.com/products/audio/8SB8738.htm However, it turns
out that the card itself doesn't have Toslink outputs but you can buy
a daughter card for it. I wish there such a think as a sound card
with only an optical out and an analog in (for when I capture video.)
Oh well. Thanks for your help.
