Change of Architecture

Crosair Vengence 4GB RAM
ATI Saphire 5770 GPU

I wanted to install another 4Gb Crossair Vengeance RAM. Can i do it by installing windows 7 Ultimate as 64 bit without making any changes to the above mentioned hardware?

Are you running windows 7 32 bit right now?
Yes, you can add another 4 GB stick. You can even add two more later on, if you'd like to.

Yes i am running win 7 32 bit, so in order to add 4 GB more RAM i have reinstall Win 7 as 64 bit right???

Of course you don't have to change your hardware to run 64 bit.

And yes, you'll need to have change to Win7 64 bit, to make use of the 8GB RAM. 32 bit can only give you upto 3.25GB.

I advise you to buy the Windows 7 professional 64-bit OS.

To go from 32 bit to 64 bit you have to do a fresh install of Windows 7, you can't upgrade.

Alright, but i can keep the data on the other drives except the C drive correct. As only the C drive would get formatted right???

I would recommend backing up all your data to an external drive, then copy it back after the OS install on C:
