Connecting modem to router on a different floor

Hello,
I have one cable coming in my basement. that cable is connected to a modem on the second floor to which my router I connected. I now want to hard wire my computer in the basement as well as my computer on the second floor. I was thinking that I can bring my modem into the basement and connect my computer to the modem.
the question is how do I connect my modem from basement to the router on the second floor. If I use the router from basement, the range is not good enough for signals to reach the second floor.

since you already have a COAX cable run, you could use a MoCA system
