Hi everyone.
About 3 months ago, I bought a Gigabyte 7870 GHz edition for $250. It came with Far Cry 3, which I was about to pre-order anyways, so subtracting the game's price I effectively paid $190 for the card. Now AMD has a new deal going, a free copy of Bioshock Infinite and Crysis 3 (Once again, going to buy them anyways) with any 7900 series video card. I have a friend who is willing to buy my current 7870 for $200, so subtracting that and the price of both games, upgrading to a 7970 ($400) would only be $80. I have already decided for sure that I will upgrade to a 7950 ($300), because subtracting the $200 from my old card and the $120 from the games, I'm basically gaining $20 in value. Is the 7970 worth the extra $80, or will the 7950 max out Crysis 3/last me another 1.5-2 years?

If you want to play crysis on max settings, i'd get the 7970 Ghz edition.

The 7950 can still play crysis on high settings, but if this is the main game you are playing, it is totally worth it to get the 7970. Otherwise the 7950 is sufficient for other games.

It won't be the "main" game I play per say, but I would like to max it out if possible. My 7870 OC runs the demo almost maxed, are you sure a 7970 is necessary to go ultra? And my main concern here is will the 7950 last me a couple years without having to upgrade?
