I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not creative labs has fixed the audigy squeel of death problem which was discussed on this forum about a month ago? I know that the santa cruz is probably the best soundcard option out there but I cant find it available anywhere in canada, and buying off ebay I cant find any new sealed ones being auctioned. Regardless of other soundcard options, has the audigy squeel of death been fixed?

I've not read anything about it.

But seeing how I'm disillusioned as far as Creative is concerned, I may not have been paying enough attention to the matter to notice.

I think it was a issue with some of those SOYO dragon mainboards. I think the work around was to move the sound card to PCI slot 5 or 6.

i've heard it is due to using a cheap or poor power supply.
i have an audigy, though it is not perfect i've never came across this issue.

"dude your getting a dell", is that kid trying to say he wants to stick his 'dell' in you?
