What comes after the 690?

Hey so i am reasonably new to the pc gaming world, but i know the foundation of the components. What i am itching to know is in the graphic card market, what is going to come after the gtx 690? will they make a 7 series after that, i guess?
as well as that, if someone could have a stab in the dark and guesstemate when the next gtx card is going to come out would be awesome!
