Asus GTX660 Ti DCUII TOP? Or????

Ok, so Friday I've gotta go pick up my gfx card to complete my gaming rig.

i5-3570
Asus P8Z77V-LK
8 Gig Kingston HyperX Performance @1866 mhz

Anywho.... I'm looking at the Asus GTX 660Ti Directcu II TOP (Overclocked). It's pretty much in the price range and from what I can see is a solid card for the money and can run with some of the more expensive cards on the market. (Seems as though the Asus TOP models are better than the competition's 660 models?)

So I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post business names... but I'm shopping at Wintronic Computers http://www.wintroniccomputers.com/2-0/video-cards up here in Canada and I'd just like to pick your brains to make sure I'm making the right decision for a card in the $300 price range.

One other question... Last time I looked at video cards it seemed that the VGA's were generally better than the ATI's pound for pound and dollar for dollar...

Is this still the case?
