Cant upgrade from xp to windows 7 on my dell dimension e520

Hello,
I had win7 installed on dell dimension E520 which worked fine. Hard drive crashed replaced with Seagate Baracuda 2terabyte, and now win 7 goes thru all install process only to end up saying setup can not be installed on this computer. No reason, no clues, nothing. I've done this 3 times with same results. Advisor says everything is good. Please help!!!!

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

Create a partition for install the OS, I'm not sure that the current mobo of your rig support 2TB drive.

I have wix xp installed, are you saying re-format drive, create partition, and then install?

I did a custom install/new. I used same process process on smaller drive, but drive was only 160 gig and it filled up as I do lots of images/graphic files for webpages.

Correct, not sure if your mobo can support a 2TB driver as boot drive.
