No signal to monitor when using discrete GPU

Hello everyone,

I just finished my first build and i am having some problem with my gpu. When i plug the cable into the gpu it says no signal on my monitor. I plug it back into the mobo and it works normally.

All the lights and fans on the gpu are up and running so i don't know what's wrong.

Here are my specs:
i7 3770k 4.4ghz
8GB corsair dominator platinum
ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M
CoolerMaster Silent Pro M2 1000W
MSI GTX 680 Lightning

And PLEASE don't tell me i have a damaged card because i live in australia and i bought this card from the usa so returning it would be VERY painful.
