is this upgrading disk from old ata 33 tu ata "something more" possible by flashing disk. i have seagate st34321a 4,3GB disk which supports ata33, but i have found on seagate's site that it is possible to upgrade this disk to ata66 or ata100 with some program that can be downloaded from their site. so i did it, i got new 80-pin ide cable and downloaded that software (in it's readme was a list of disk drives that support this flashing and my model was on it), followed instructions and booted my comp in dos, started application but nothing happends, application says i can't change my disk to ata66.
so if anyone has any idea how to do this-your help would be welcome.
thanks

ps
yes, and mainboard supports ata100
