For qurey of encrypt files

my hard disk is formated & install xp and after i install another os i.e., vista sp2.there is a problem with files encrypt.before 2 formated i put files as encrypted now that files are showing access denied.can i recover that files

What program did you use to encrypt the files?

windows 7 os now using vista sp2

You need to work very carefully with encrypted files, did you backup the encryption key when you encrypted them? You can try to use a Windows 7 installation and see if you can access the files with your password or maybe the backup key if you made one.
