Hello, I've been looking at the Radeon HD 7850 and 7870 series and I'm wondering if my motherboard will support these cards.

My motherboard - http://www.asus.com/Motherboard/M4A87TD_EVO/#specificat...

7850 I'm looking at - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

7870 I'm looking at - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

A thing I notice right away is the PCIe port is 3.0 on the cards and my MB supports 2.0

I just need to know if I'll need to upgrade my MB to use these cards.

Thank you for your time

PCI-E 3.0 Graphics cards are compatible with their 2.0 predecessors so it'll work fine. The 7850 only needs 1 PCI-E 6 pin connector while the 7870 needs 2 so make sure your power supply has enough PCI-E 6 pin connectors.
