Help me choose a gud 3D Monitor for my gtx 670....

I hv built a new rig with following config...

Intel i7 3770k (No overclocking yet)
ASRock Extreme4 Z77
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 16 GB (2 x 8 GB)
120GB Crucial Force GT SSD (for OS) + WD 1TB (For data)
Corsair 850TX Power Supply

I have now ordered a Palit GeForce® GTX 670 JETSTREAM ..... which will arrive in 2-3 days time.... until then I am on my old zotac gtx 460 card...

But now I realize that smthng is missing in this config.... I am really confused about should I buy a new Monitor or not?...

I currently own Samsung 2233SW Plus (21.5") which supports 60hz ..... and the new 3D monitors of 120hz cost too high ....
After a lot of research I zeroed on "ASUS VG278H" which shld be best for GTX 670 ..... but its price is too high...

Can smbdy suggest me any other mid-range 3D monitor ($400-$550 or 21000-3000 Indian Rs)......

More about help choose monitor

The ones you listed are within that price range on Newegg but I assume you are using an indian site.

I would push for the ASUS 27inch version, and make sure you don't cop out on the response time, for 3D, a 2ms GTG or lower is quite important.
  2. If you're looking for the best 3D monitor that will also play great in 2D, then you should choose between the BenQ XL2420T and the ASUS VG278H. Both incorporate nVidia's 3D Vision 2 with 3D LightBoost which greatly improves the overall 3D experience.

While the BenQ doesn't disappoint as far as specifications with a 2ms response time, 120Hz refresh rate, low input lag, and a great picture, The XL2420T comes with a lot of other features built-in to this monitor specifically for gamers including FPS Mode, RTS Mode, Intuitive OSD, S. Switch;Height Adjustment, and Game Mode Loader.

If you just want this monitor for the 2D technology, then you might want to consider its predecessor, XL2410T, which is significantly cheaper and has many of the same features as the XL2420T, but has nVidia 3D Vision rather than 3D Vision 2.

  4. I think BenQ XL2420T lack 3d lightboost.BenQ XL2420TX does hv it. .
  5. You should wait for 4k to be released and then buy 30" IPS the prices would drop like bombs. I found 3D very useless. The size is what matters my friend
  6. thats gonna be very expensive. also i got him the 3d led thats in his budget
  7. I actually want to choose the best monitor from the list

which has all "Y" in the list esp 3D Vision HDMI Support .... And BenQ XL2420TX has it all but XL2420T doesnt have support nvidia lightboost (Thought I dont knw what it does, hehe!)

and btw whats 4K (as maxinexus said "You shld wait for 4k to be released)
  8. EDIT: Sorry.... didnt see tht BenQ XL2420T does have lightboost but doesnt have 3D Vision HDMI Support.... which is (I think) crucial for contemporary games
  9. If your playing in 3D you'll be using dual link DVI.
  10. One last as per the link

Do we really need to look for the feature "3D Vision
HDMI Support" while buying a 3D monitor.....
  11. anyways, i found a good monitor for ur budget.

theres always better but cost more also.
  12. Yes, finally all my research led me to choice given by icelock .... it was already in my consideration but I thought to go for 27" for better 3D experience but looking at my desktop and how close Im sitting to monitor (Abt 3 ft) , 24" should be ok and BenQ XL2420T is the best in that range....

So Im goin for that ........

One last thing, Should I also go for Blu-ray drive (Writer I would prefer) to watch 3D movies on PC...
  13. yes. that be a nice upgrade :). im jealous wish i had 3d.
