Damn it, that's the second time an article passes under my nose!
Wow, this CeBIT has really turned out dreams come true! Our predictions are slowly being drifted from fantasy to reality!
DDR400 is definitly the Athlon lover, and will compete RDRAM to destroy Rambus entirely. I do hope VIA's KT400A is worth the "A", as well as AMD licensing it so maybe we could get a taste of P4's medicine: 400MHZ FSB!
This would compete extremly hard on Intel for sure, as we know their bus is not as effective performing as AMD's and that only 533MHZ can really push it. Plus the new FSB will allow lower multipliers on lower speeds, or higher speeds easily for OCing Tbreds.
All in all this is too exciting!
BTW what is this 32bit RDRAM module? Don't they mean 16-bit Dual Channel? If not then what is the new data path bandwidth?
Now it remains for SiS or VIA to take on Intel and put their own DDR400 chipset solutions for P4, and it can then really become a threat to AMD. But then again we think Intel, and Rambus Contract suddenly pops...
