Laptop monitpr for desktpp

Hi guys, i just build a desktop but apparently my monitor wont be ship in 2-3weeks due to "technical difficulty." Anyway i have a laptop, my question is can i hook the newly built desktop, no os, plain newly built to the laptop and use the laptop a monitor so i can test whether its boot up properly? Thank you. Ps : I have not receive my gpu yet so its only using intergrated hd 4000

Nope. You can't do that. The video ports on the laptop are output only. Sorry.
