Good thing I checked before hitting place order it seems the 7970’s I was getting would not work with the water cooling blocks I was about to order so I am rewinding to rethink my options,

My Plan is to Water cool the CPU and GPU's I will be pushing triple ASUS VN247H-P Black 23.6" 1ms (GTG) monitors at 1920x1080
Which Video card would you use? Why?

Option 1
Asus ROG Ares II
1500.00
Pros All in one no water block, closed loop and slightly OC to boot, quiet
Cons PRICE can get nearly 3 7970 air cooled for the price of this monster

Option 2
MSI R7970 Lightning Radeon HD 7970 3GB
489
Pro Cheap fast good reviews
Cons Micro Sutter possible bigger PS needed and no slots left open on MB

Option 3
Power Color AX7990 6GBD5
899
Pro Single card room to grow
Con coil whine reported
Option 4
2 SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100351-6GVXSR Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 6GB
599.00
Pro Fast card good reviews
Con is the extra memory really needed or even used?

I am looking to have this up and running by the end of the month, not sure Titan will be out before then.

all parts are in shopping carts Minus video cards and I am waiting on a quote for the case (I desided the modding I wated to do was best left to a pro and not my random assortment of hand tools)

In that case I would opt for the 2X MSI Lightning 7970's (not the PE) and slap on EK waterblocks on the with blackplates.

So you think the extra speed of the Lightning is worth more then the extra memory of the 6gb 7970?
