Can't boot to flash drive in order to install Windows 8

I've been trying for a little bit to boot to my flash drive in order to install Windows 8. I've confirmed the flash drive is bootable on another computer, and have already set the boot priority to have "Removable Storage" as number 1. My motherboard is only 3-4 years old, so it should definitely be able to boot to a flash drive. Also, I have booted to a CD many times already. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Do you have the option to select Boot Menu doing Post on your mainboard? I do know that setting mine to boot from Removable Storage as number 1 on my mainboard never automatically boots from my USB stick I have to press F11 and choose it from the boot menu.

There's no prompt on POST to access the boot menu and trying any number of keys hasn't worked (F1,F2,F10,F11,Esc). I have a phoenix mobo, if that helps.
