I have owned ReplayTV for about a 1 and 1/2 years.
I originally purchased it not knowing it's true ability.
The only thing I knew was other people liked it.

After buying it, I was really nervous about it being a dud.
Also thought it was going to be super hard to program.
Figured my VHS recorder was hard enough to program.

While I was taking it out of the box, it occured to me that it might
be a complicated mess to hook up and that I'd probably spend a good
part of the day connecting it up to my T.V. system.

About 10 minutes after taking it out of the box, it was setup.
I was astonished. Absolutely floored.

I turned it on and connected to the server and waited a few more
minutes to download my tv guide. After that I was ready to record my
first show. That's where my son came in. I asked him how to record
and he just seemed to know. He said, "just press that red button".
OK, wow it was programed to record that show. Sooo much easier than
the VHS recorder. OK, how to record that particular show each week?
He said, "just press that same red button again."

Oh my God. It can't be that simple. Nothing, especially electronics,
are that simple. After playing with it for another 15 minutes I was
completely astonished at what it could do. No more live T.V., no more
commercials, no more missing my favorite T.V. shows, no more missing
T.V. conversations, no more missing parts of story line due to
telephone, door bell, family discussions or other interuptions. This
little machine put me the consumer in control for the first time.

I have since purchased 3 more machines, 2 for downstairs and 2
upstairs. They talk to each other and programs can be viewed from
each other. My 3 VHS recorders are now down to 1. We never use it.

As for the cost of these ReplayTVs. I thought they were expensive
before I purchased my first one. After using them, I think they are
dirt cheap. I would gladly pay the few hundred dollars if all they
did was allow me to watch T.V. without the commercials. But we all
know they do so much more than that.

I'm so glad I decided to buy and try one of these devices.
