IP Address Geolocation Accuracy

Hello,

I want to know the geographical location of the following IP address:

99.96.177.85

I used two websites below to find the address of the aforementioned IP address. The problem is that the two websites do not agree with one another. Both websites point to a Holiday Inn in Texas, but the websites point to different Holiday Inns.

Which (if any address) is correct?

Yes, www.infosniper.net agrees with you. Although, www.ip2location.com says that the same IP address if from a Holiday Inn in Austin, TX. This is the problem...I don't know which location is correct.

i use http://unlocktheinbox.com/locateip.aspx but its mostly google api i think. as for accuracy, i've heard its not exactly the most spot on thing you'll ever find, no matter what service you use. i just like the unlock layout. looks good / easy to read. my two cents. anyway.

I understand that geolocation is not typically very accurate. I find it unusual, though, that both of my aforementioned websites point to a Holiday Inn Express. Perhaps I can be sure that my IP number of interest is IN FACT from a Holiday Inn Express?

Yes, it seems pretty clear that it is a Holiday Inn Express that uses SBC Internet Services for a number of Texas locations. Even though the exact city seems to vary, each is listed as a Holiday Inn Express using SBC.

Is it possible for multiple locations to share the same IP address?

Yes, since the are leased blocks from SBC.
