they really are free, but the option to 'send to your phone' costs money on
the main site. but if you visit with wap, you can download for nothing. or
you can download the midi itself on the main site.

Actually I've downloaded over 3000 polyphonic tones from Kazaa (lite) which
are compatable with my 3650 & were free. All you hve to do is learn how to
load them onto your phone (also you need a far bigger memory card if you
want to put 3000 on as well)...
Depending on your phone it may be able to play wav files as ringtones, if so
make them yourself.....

OK so how do you get them from kazaa onto a phone. Does it require a
cable???

Well it would help wouldn't it, using a IRDA link for my 3650. Having
problems with the wife's 3510i (using a USB link) at the moment but it's
only time & the right software
It's now up to over 9,000 free polyphonic ring tones (& that's after getting
rid of all the 1kb single channel ones & one wav (I can't get a good enough
Poly tone for it). As for wallpapers, the world is my oyster, or should I
say scrap book....
As long as you are willing to put a little time & effort into it it can all
be free.

What cable type and what software? A lot of these USB cables come with
dodgy drivers, but if you are using MobiMB, then contact tech support -
we've had a lot of experience dealing with issues caused by these cables!

Going off on a tangent here Mike, what format can the ringtones on a 3510i
be, the Nokia site just says Polyphonic which could mean anything & the one
the wife has _got_ to have isn't/won't/can't be available in mid format but
I can easily get a wav sound bite which would make her very happy...

Not WAV. The main format supported is MIDI, so you might be stuck if it's
impossible to put it in that format. Is there a reason it can't be done as
MIDI? If it's really just not available anywhere you might be able to make
one yourself, with a little skill, using PolyPhonix or similar.

The problem is that the song doesn't really have a tune (mind you if they
can put some of Enemen songs to MID ???) so it could really do with the
words being there as well.. Oh well I can see me losing one of my 3650's
;-( She's just got to have her Tigger song, Winnie the Pooh just won't
do....
