Computer was working last night now wont connect to hdmi/vga

February 9, 2013 8:45:00 AM

hi there
i have recently brought a new computer custom built with a:
750W G7 Extreme Modular Super Silent Power Supply
MSI 970A-G46 AMD FX ATX Motherboard - CrossFireX/SLI Ready
AMD BULLDOZER FX 6100 Black Edition, Six Core, 3.3GHz/3.9GHz, 14MB Cache
16GB DDR3 1866MHz Memory (2x8GB) Kit
2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 - 960 Cores,DVI,HDMI,DP - 3D Vision Ready
1TB SATA III 6Gb/s, 7200rpm, 64Mb Cache, 8ms Hard Drive

the first day i set it all up and no real problems apart from win 8 error "bad pool header'

i installed a few games all ran fine and was rather pleased.
woke up the next morning jumped on and when i turn the computer on there is no 'beep' and the hdmi doesn't connect. i tried using a vga and it also doesnt work.
fans are running and got a minor electric shock as i unplugged the hdmi (not sure if relevant)

any solutions. find it odd that it was working fine before i shut down for bed, now it wont work

any help will be appreciated
many thanks
