Hi.
I got a GTX 690 card, and I tried to run Battlefield 3 on Ultra and 1080p.
I read some performance tests, and in those the min fps is around 80 and avg around 100 fps.
But I am getting FPS as low as 40! How can this be?

My specs:
IntelĀ® Core i5-2500K Processor
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO, Socket-1155
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 16GB CL9 (Currently only using two of the ram bricks. 8gb ram)
Corsair TX V2 650W PSU

Did you update the drivers, or did you install the drivers that came with the card?

I'm not aware of any BF3 SLI scaling issue. Are you sure that it's not something else?

I didn't install the driver CD that I got with the card.
I had nVidia card before, and I had downloaded the newest update. So when i got the card, i just installed the newest update that i already had downloaded.

CPU-Z does the job, although if you don't know it, then I'd think that its at stock.

If that's the frequency it runs at during gaming, then it's potentially the problem. If it's merely an idle frequency, which is more likely, then it's probably not the problem.

If you haven't overclocked, the cpu will be a limiting factor for large bf3 online multi player servers

I have an i5 2500K and I have it safely OC'd to 4.6 GHZ. BF3 works great with my Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-x. Try OC'n the CPU!!!

What did you use to overclock your cpu?
And how?
And, will it help?
