New sapphire 7850 OC not working? or not compatible

Hey guys!
I am in a little bit of a pickle.

Bassically I got an average computer (around about $800) and upgraded the GPU in it from a Nvidia Geforce GT 630 to a Sapphire HD 7830 Oc edition

I had a few driver issues and right now my computer is being looked at in stores. Now i am extremly pissed lol about this situation that i spent nearly $300 on a new gpu.
When ever i turned the computer on a black screen keeps flashing like from a "on" black to a "off" black. This never happend with the GT 630

should i call the quites and start working on a custom build with this gpu? If so what compements go great with this card?

sapphire has issued a statement that 7800 series has black screens and offering free rmas. as they should anyways.

Should i resell the 7850 and get a better card or make a custom build ?
