I want to upgrade my computer by buying another 560ti and using it in sli. I just wanted to ask a couple questions first.

1. What wattage should my power supply be? I currently have a 500w
2. I recently played Crysis 3 beta and it brought the card to its knees (which i knew it would), so with SLI how much performance can i expect?
3. I have a 560ti 448 core card, so would any 560ti card do, or do i have to get the same exact one?
4. Is there any guide to hooking up cards in SLI?

Thanks in advance.

500w is a little low for any sli set up. I would want to get at least 650w for that.
I don't know how much better performance you can get, but I can tell you that you can get a 7950, which is stronger than a 580, so probably about the same as those to in sli. I get 30-40 maxed out 1080p 4xmsaa. The thing is, with those settings you will get severe memory bottlenecks. I got bottlenecks with a single 560ti, so two 448 cores will be killed by it. I wouldn't recommend getting that card with only 1gb ram. You also would need get a 560ti 448.

Yea even 560 ti's in SLI might not get you the settings you want for Crysis 3. I have a 680 and could get 60 fps on high.. but ultra.. couldn't handle it.. And high was played with 4xmsaa and x8 on the other setting. .

Just get a new single GPU

no a 500 watt PSU won't do. what will do depends on what SLI set up your talking about. "regular" 560ti uses 160 watts whereas the 560ti 448 will use ~200 watt each. a it just isn't all about the wattage, you really need a PSU with four 6 pin PCI power connections. a few 650 watt PSU can handle that many connections.

a SLI 560ti easily beats a 580 in crysis WD: (yes i know its a different game)

a 560ti 448 SLI will do much better. why? because a "regular 560ti is the GF 114 gpu and the 560ti 448 is the GF 110 gpu which is the same as in the GTX 570 with one SM unit disabled, giving it 448 cuda cores instead of the 480 as in the 570.

so if you are saying that you have then 560ti 448 then you will need to get another 560ti 448 to run a SLI set up.

there are lot of guides, google is your friend, it is rather painless and easy for the most part.
