Ive been thinking. Ive already got one, and it does the job, so what if i went out got a board that supported SLI, and bought another one. What if any performance boost would i see, and what Geforce GTX single card would that performance be equal to? This is all just speculation of course, i dont think im crazy enough to run dual cards.

What configuration do you have now? A gtx 660ti will outperform sli 550ti.

Would a, lets say Asus 650ti OC Edition outperform two 550ti's? And right now im running a single 550ti and a quad core A8 at 3.0ghz

Well, a 650ti OC will not outperform two 550ti. 650ti is much closer to 550ti. It can outperform single 550ti, but not two.

You can buy a 660ti and upgrade you cpu to intel one later for better gaming performance.

As he has a 550ti atm, why he will buy a 650ti which is closer to 550ti. It will be waste of money. Better off with single 550ti or a 660ti.
