Windows 7 printer

I have an HP 5500 series printer & I cannot get it installed in my HP TouchSmart Windows 7 computer. I have tried everything under the sun. Can someone please help me?? Dfrench

Have you looked into the device manager to see if it's even detected the printer? If so, did you right click on it and uninstall it and let Windows 7 try to find it again?

If you go to HP's site, you can download the latest driver. The URL is:

Can you post a picture of your device manager showing if the printer has been detected or not?

Also, are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7? You have to ensure you have the correct drivers (32-bit or 64-bit).
