Should I get ATi 8500 or 8500LE ?

Apart from the obvious price differential, what's the KEY difference between these two cards ?

Is it just the slower speed (250MHz vs 275MHz) or are there features missing in the LE version and what are they (and would I miss them) ?

Why does cheaper LE have more memory (128MB) than the full version 8500 (64MB) ? Is it to try to "make up" for the lower spec card ?

(just when I thought I had it all worked out....arrrrgghhh!!!)

What is the price difference? You'll get more performance from a higher clocked 64MB card than a lower clocked 128MB, and manufacturers know they can get buy with cheaper components that way because so many people buy by MB only.

Anyway the newer 8500 Retail cards come at 300MHz.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
