Better to have a low performance video card than nothing?

Hello,
I just bought an i3-3220, 8gb 1600 ddr3, but no graphics card yet. I am planning to buy a GT 220 just to have a temporary video card. Is it better to have a GT 220 than nothing? I am still saving up for a GTX650TI

my 2 cents, save your money, use the igp for a while. continue saving money and get at least a 7770 or better.
for me, that is a better approach than buying something slow then replace it. instead, add what you have now to you savings
