Does anyone know how to make the Win XP's Windows Explorer look like Windows Explorer in Win98? Spacifically I want the list of files and folders down the left hand side like in Win98. I know I can get it by hitting the Folders button in the toolbar menu, but is there a way to make this the default setting? I've tried locking the tool bars and everything else I can think of but I've had no luck. Everytime I restart Windows Explorer XP I get that blue list of useless options down the left hand side. If anybody knows how to lock the Folders button on on that left side please let me know.

Nope Tried that....It killes the blue box down the left but doesn't open the folders tab. I'd like the folders tab down the left to be open by default.

Open My Computer.
Right-click on drive.
Select Explore from the menu.

You don't have to make any other changes.
