:hello:
is it possible to have a graphics card + external pci (http://www.techradar.com/us/news/computing-components/g...) + (http://www.hwtools.net/adapter/EC03.html).

I know its a little overkill in terms of complexity. I just want to know if it is possible. Because if it is (80$ + graphics card) would be an awesome way to have a laptop that is light and portable but can also be plugged in at home for better gaming performance.

my laptop is:

sony vaio e 14 inch

cpu: i7 - 3632QM

gpu: AMD radeon 7670m 2gb mobile hd ddr3 graphics card

ram: 8gb ddr3 (going to upgrade to 16)

hdd: 1 tb

full specs: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony---VAIO-14%26%2334%3B-T...

MAIN QUESTION: CAN I DO IT? IS IT AN OPTION?

NOT!!!: SHOULD I DO IT / SHOULD I BUY A DESKTOP / WILL BE AS GOOD AS AN INTERNAL GPU/ SHOULD I BUY A NEW LAPTOP/ LIQUID OVERCLOCK PCI NVIDIA STEVE JOBS BANNANAS :non:

the reason I want to do this is because I already have an 7950 sitting around with no computer to put it in.

It is certainly an option given that the article shows it can be done. I'd research the sites they list to check on ur laptop's compatability.

If it works it will choke the **** out of the 7950 since the adapter is pci1 x16.
