Radeon HD6570

I have this card in my PC and it has the DVI port on it, which I have 1 that converts it to the VGA type connection. My 2 monitors both have the DVI and VGA connection.

What I am trying to do is hook up 2 monitors with this Graphics Card and only have the one DVI output. Is there a thing that will take that VGI and convert to 2 hookups so that I can dual monitor. I am pretty sure that the card can handle the 2 monitors. also running windows 8 X64

  1. DVI splitters are like 100 bucks, so not worth it.

What model is the 6570? There should be more than 1 output from a 6570.
  2. Yea those cheaper ones you see for like 10 bucks aren't real dvi splitters. Both monitors will show the same thing. A real one costs like $80. At that price, I would just get a new video card that has 2 dvi ports.

  4. Thanks for the advice !!!! I got some research to do, I think the best bet to get a new card with two outputs on it. I need the 2nd monitor to be able to do its own thing.

Your card will do what you want. Just plug in the dvi + vga and you'll be good to go.
  6. HD 6570 has single link DVI, HDMI, and VGA so there is plenty of choice
