Yes the title says it all im looking for a new graphics card for my desktop. Money isnt too much of an issue. But im looking for the best over graphics cards. Out of the 7970 and GTX 680 family. I want a good card that i can overclock and water cool. Ive done alot of research and saw alot of good cards for the 7970 but worried bout all the mixed reviews. Compared to the good reviews on the 680's but cost alot more. I currently have a 6870 graphics card. And im a heavy gamer and just want the best card i can do sli with and will give me the best experience overall. I have a 1920x1080 desktop monitor.

Well you have to ask yourself a couple of questions. Resolution for one. So you are playing on a 1920x1080 screen do you intend to run multiple monitors if so then that would impact your decision. However if you plan on sticking to one monitor you will find there is little to no need for you to go with a SLi/CF setup with the exception perhaps of you setting up a 3D environment.

I would suggest looking towards the 670 with what I know of your system thus far. Every card has different pro's and con's and so you will see cards from both sides with mixed reviews because results vary from system to system.

Also, could you list your system specifications please:

CPU:
MOBO:
RAM:
PSU:
GPU:
OS:
Resolution: 1920x1080

If moneys not much of an issue get a 680, it's almost worth the extra over the 670, but you have to think you'll have either one for a long time. If you really have money to throw around then a 690 or a 7990 are the two top of the line cards right now.

For any of the three cards just make sure the rest of your specs will match, you don't want to spend so much money on a card just to have it bottle neck.

If you are going with a 3 screen setup I would say you would be better off with a 7970 if you felt like your frames were not up to snub you can always grab a second one. However this is all dependent if you want to run games in a spanned view across all screens.

In this order. Also you may want to consider the Ghz edition cards as well as they are the cream of the crop with AMD.
