Hello all, I'm torn at the moment. I've been given two sets of advice and they both seem good. I'd like your opinion please.

I have £500 worth of gift vouchers for a custom built pc.

Half of my advice givers have recommended I choose an i5 3570k 3.4ghz with an amd radeon 7970, however other people have suggested I choose an i7 3770k with an amd radeon 7950 or nvidia gtx 660ti. I can't decide between a lower cpu with a better gpu or vice versa...

I will be playing fps games and mmorpgs as well as after effects and photshop editing and rendering.

I can't afford the i7 with the 7970, just so you know.

Thanks.

For gaming, the i7-3770K offers no benefit over the i5-3570K. The i5-3570K will be more than enough. However, since you'll be doing editing and rendering, it'll come in handy. Get the 3770K and the GTX660ti
