I play dirt track racing sprint cars and love the game but the sound breaks up when i use the audigy i have in my system. the onboard works fine, i tried updating to the newest drivers labeled 2002 on creatives site but it doesnt seem to update them. they still say they are the 8/01 drivers in system props.
the original DTR works fine with my system though.
i understand creative sucks to most but this is the first problem ive ever encountered.
my system is gigabyte 7tvxe (kt266a), athlon xp1700, geforce2 gts (drivers 23.12), 512mb ddr, sb audigy oem.
i dont run any via drivers, should i?
"dude your getting a dell", is that kid trying to say he wants to stick his 'dell' in you?
It's very likely due to bugs in VIA's PCI bus. Try messing with PCI settings in the BIOS, downloading the latest 4-in-1s, and getting the VIA "PCI latency" patch.
found the problem, i had the surround sound option for the game turned on. when i turned that off it sounds fine.. i had the problem under xp and 98se but turning off 3d sound fixed it in both.. i figured it was an xp driver problem at first.
thanks for the reply.
