I have a new Acer Aspire system, P4-1.7GB, 256MB Ram, etc. It comes with a 24x10x40 CD-RW.

Recently I bought a Samsung High Density CD-R 80 16x 700MB. I tried to burn but nothing works! Not my Winxp, not my Nero. I tried to reduce the speed to 4x with Nero, but still failed.

Winxp reported the following after trying to make the disc readable - "There was an error in the writing process. The disc you have attempted to write may no longer be usable."

Nero reported
Burn process started at 12x (1800kb/s)
24x10x40 CD-RW medium speed error
24x10x40 CD-RW invalid writestate
24x10x40 CD-RW Could not perform Endtrack
Burn process failed at 12x (1800KB/s)

Can anyone help??
