c:\program files\call of duty\main\pak0.pk3 is not a valid version and
could not be upgraded
this error orrcurs when trying to install the new patch 1.3. any
ideas?

Reinstall CoD, get the patch and then load CoD. If that doesnt work find
someone who has a working pak0.pk3 and copy it.
