Which gfx card? 7870XT or 66ti?

Title says it all! I'm a new builder, and this is what I have so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/D72t.

I think every other part is fine, just stuck on a gfx card. It'll be used for gaming(Bf3,CoD,Crysis,WoW, etc..)

Budget is stuck around 890 for the whole build.

More about which card 7870xt 66ti
  1. go for the GTX 660Ti....would be a better choice for the games you mentioned
  2. thanks :)
  3. Benches look neck and neck on those two. I'd go with whichever is cheaper or comes the best gaming bundle you'd actually use.
  4. I would narrow it down to these two. The 7870 XT wins in price and I think it will be a little more future friendly. Otherwise they are very similar.
I play WoW, Borderlands 2, Diablo 3 and Civ V all at max (WoW is tweaked a little) at 1920x1080 while carrying over 50 FPS easily on the AMD card in my sig. so I wouldn't let what card one game or another does a little better on sway you too much.

    SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 XT w/Boost 2GB: $259.99 + $15 rebate on Newegg; 256 bit; 975mhz core

    MSI N660Ti PE 2GD5 GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB: $279.99 + $20 rebate on Newegg ; 192 bit; 980 mhz core
  5. PowerColor HD7870 PCS+ Myst Edition and it comes with 2 free games...you can sell em and with the money you save plus the games sold you could get a SSD.

Numbers wise,,,both gpus are on par. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/tahiti-le-7870-7930-benchmark,3401-3.html
  6. And they are both compatible with my build so they will right correctly, right?

Sorry, trying to learn all of this stuff :)
  7. Yeah, you could run either just fine.
  8. 7870XT is cheaper and the 660Ti is barely faster, I'd place them neck and neck, depends on whether you want 150 in F2P money or 2 free games.
