Three Monitor Support

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if you could have 3 monitors using one PCIe x16 card and one PCI card. I have a computer that's currently running a PCIe x16 card with a single DVI out that's connected to a DVI Y-Splitter. It works wonderfully with two monitors. I'm looking to expand my workspace by adding an additional monitor. Would it work if I add an PCI card and connect the third monitor to that? And I'm running Windows XP.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
