Performance-wise, the best driver for the 7970 is 12.11 beta 4, but 13.1 (or 13.2 beta) drivers aren't much slower.

  3. 800 watt ps. i was wanting to know the specific driver people r using atm for the his 7970 ghz and if there r any helpful hints in the upgrade process. ty for your time.
  4. Download (but do not install) the latest drivers from AMD. Uninstall your existing drivers. Shut down, turn your PSU switch off, then open your PC to remove the existing cards and install the new one. Remember to turn the PSU switch back on. Power on, then install the new drivers you downloaded. Enjoy your PC!
