I have a 7970 as of now but not being able to max out crysis 3 beta (msaa x16 or whatever is called enabled) really disappointed me. I can max it on fxaa but not msaa... Well to make it short : Should I buy another 7970 to crossfire or sell it (a buddy of mine wants it) and wait for the 8000 series to cone out? Will I experience any bottlenecks with the 3770k?? Is it even worth it?? Thanks I really appreciated all replie!!

Radeon 8000 is not likely to be out until six to tenth months from now. If you need more performance now, then Crossfire is the most feasible solution AFAIK. I don't think that your CPU will cause any performance issues and even if it does, overclocking should solve them.

Awww jeez... 6-10 months /-\ that's way too long of a wait... the cpu is running at 4.2ghz as of now ( still can't get the hang of OCing) What about selling the 7970 and using the money to get a gtx690? Or is crossfiring really the only option? Will 2X 7970 perform better than a 690???

Sorry for all the question I just really want to make sure

I smile when folks ask such funny questions :p  While were on the subject, should I trade in my GT-R for a Lambo or buy a second GT-R?

Seriously though, the 8xxx rumors Ive heard are that there may be re-branding...and even with a formidable performance bump, theres not going to be a single GPU card solution to get the performance you want. For the money, a second 7970 is a better choice than its dual GPU big bro or the 690.

Only chance Ive been reading on, is Nvidia's Titan GPU late this year...but if you want more performance now, just Crossfire and dont worry.

And I drive a Civic without AC, just to clarify :sol:

99% (with rounding) of people in single card arent gonna de able to fully max crysis, so dont worry that much

Tbh the only reason I got the 3770k was because I didn't know there were better ones and same for the 7970 I kind of just bought it... I should have done some research before hand, but I guess I'm stuck with it. Thanks for all the info guys I guess I'll just buy another 7970 hopefully it gets here b4 the 16th

7970's in crossfire are a nice solution, but have you tried overclocking your current 7970 yet?
