Motherboard : ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5N-D 1.XX

GPU : NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+

Processor :2.40 gigahertz Intel Core2 Quad --- Multi-core (4 total)

6 gigs of ram

Is my system that I've been running since the 9800gtx came out , i was just wondering what is the next level after the 9800 ?

Like if i wanted to see a nice jump in performance but nothing astronomical since i don't have very much money what would i buy for this set up ?

Not opposed to Xfiring relatively cheap cards, since i was told my system could do that back in the day !

if your budget is $250, you might as well splurge it all out for a Power Color 7870 PCS+ Myst Edition. you can read more about it here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/tahiti-le-7870-7930...
and here's a link should you decide to buy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... it has 2 free games to boot! bioshock infinite and tomb raider. you can either use them or sell them to recoup a little bit of cash. if you can overclock your current cpu, you can alleviate some of the bottleneck.

Okay , is there a card just a step under? that's a tad steep at edge of budget

i suggest getting the 7850 1gb ($165~) or 650ti ($150~) if your budget is really tight. but really, any current generation gpu worth at least $100+ is at least one step above what your 9800gtx can do.

any 7870 is best. 7850 is low for gaming.. if your doing BF3
