hi guys i have a asus p6t deluxe intel 920 2.66 with 12 gig ram 2000mhz with 1000 watt power supply cooler master gold,raptor drive and the amd 4870x2 .i wanted to get the card from this guys is it wort t getting or look into something else my board only supports pci e x16 2 gen

Even though your motherboard only has PCIe 2.0 slots, PCIe 3.0 cards are still compatible. Is the $300 (I'm assuming USD) for 2 6950 or 1? If it's 1 card, don't get it. If it's 2, it might not be a bad deal but for $300, you can get an HD7950 which is around 40%-70% faster but comes with 3GB VRAM and without multi-GPU hassle (scaling, driver support, power consumption and heat)

yeah its for 2 and i rather not get that extra power and heat .I was also looking into a 7970 card as well and i think i need a liquid cooler for my cpu as well i heard the cosair is good one


i been out of it for a while and now im getting back into gaming lol got married and house you know lol

Don't think you can get a 7970 for $300 unless it's a used card. 7950 is probably your best choice right now. You don't need an AIO watercooler. They're mostly expensive and performs just around certain air coolers like

So if I have choice of 7950 new in box or used 7970 for 300 and the 7950 for 250 which one would u go with

Well it's not the same for everyone. For me personally, I would only buy used parts from people I know. So, I'd get the 7950 at $300. That's me though.
