Downgrade to windows 7 toshiba satellite c855d-s5320

keeps telling me after putting new hard drive with no os that no media and I have purchase new win 7 on dvd and trying to install it on a Toshiba c855d-s5320 it wont boot from the cd I want to go back to win 7 do not like win 8

"I want to go back to win 7" Did you have Win 7 installed on this laptop before? Is so, why would you purchase a new copy.

You need to go into bios and set it to boot to the DVD drive first.

Check the BIOS. You need to make sure the Boot Mode is set to CMS Boot. Windows 8 is obviously a UEFI Boot. Once I changed mine it booted.
