Just so you don't confuse people your motherboard is made by Biostar and yes your card will do just fine with your setup. Just curious why you aren't going with something a bit more modern like a 7770 to start?

i know i can overclock an i5 so is an i7 really necessary (I'm trying to keep it 2000-2500. I would like to stay around that range but i have a little wiggle room obviously the closer to 2000 i can get the better) sorry again for thread stealing. thank you in advance.
